I have recently used ERS-2 SAR data to calculate wind field with Wind Field Estimation tool, and it seemed that I've got a 'virtual map' which could be added to the layer. But further analysis couldn't be made since I cannot export the 'virtual map' to other formats such as Shapefile or Geotiff. What's more, I can't even find the xml file described in Nest_user_manual on page 345.

I truly wish you nice people would help me out with my problem, I couldn't thank you anymore.

Hi Leighsson,

as you have pointed out the "wind field" layer cannot be exported further so far.

However the xml file, from which then the wind field layer is created,

is located into the .nest/log/wind_field_report.xml.

By default for windows user the .log folder is located into

C:\Documents and Settings\user-profile\.nest

For Linux user

the .nest folder is an hidden folder within the home directory. Then to see it, you have to set up the option to see hidden files. For instance in Ubuntu from the main menu you can select View->Show hidden files.
