RE: TerraSAR-X Coregistration Problem
toggle
Hi,

I'm trying to coregister two complex TerraSAR-X images.

Each time I run the coregistration tool I get an warning saying that there are not enough GCPs in the slave image for the warp to run. I have tried many combinations of parameters. The process still runs, but in the output file only the master file shows an intensity image, the slave intensity file loads a black image. The statistics show it has a value of 0 all over.

Has anyone else had this problem or has a suggestion of how to fix it?

Basically I need a coregistered intensity pair

Many thanks

Hayley

Hi,

I encountered the same problem. I tried to coregister 2 SLC TerraSAR-x images (StripMap dual pol), and got also the following error message about the GCP: "i_HV_... has not enough valid GCPs for the warp".
I would like to generate the coherence image.
Anyone found the solution?

I think it's not possible with NEST 4B to create a DEM. Will the next version of NEST be able to generate DEMs? If so, when will this version be available?

Thanks in advance,
Inge

It can depend on your data. With ERS or RS1 the initial offset of the images can be large and you will need to set a large window size in the GCP Selection. For TSX you shouldn't have this problem.

If you are using fine coregistration and the images are quite different, try reducing the coherence threshold to 0.3 and increasing the coherence window to 5

Hello,

What are the different processing steps to get a coherence image for 2 TerraSAR-X StripMap images (11 days time interval)?
(1) SAR tools \ Automatic coregistration (2) InSAR \ Products \ Coherence estimation (3) Geometry \ Terrain correction (without radiometric normalization)\ Coherence estimation? Any need to filter?

I am interested in land cover mapping (just general classes), but the result for the coherence image I got cannot be interpreted. What to do? 11 days time interval is too much? Or any error in the processing?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,

Inge

Hello,

I'm also having some problems with the automatic coregistration tool. I'm trying to coregister 6 complex TerraSAR-X stripmap dualpol images, but some appears black in the results. I had no problems to coregister complex Spotlight HS images or detected product. I would like to know if you have any documentation about the choice of fine and coarse coregistration parameters to avoid these problems.

Thanks in advance,
